I like trains better than buses.

I forget how infuriating commuting by bus is. *Loathes waiting half an hour during which time 2 busses should have been and gone for me. Grr.* In addition to the irregularity of buses, I can't read or play DS games on them without my tummy churning a little (ugh, lack of road travel practice), and even if I could read a book, there's rarely enough light to do so comfortably... And I'm always weary of falling into a doze and missing my stop. *sigh*
On bright side, have started playing Spirit Tracks. Is fun to see the princess actually take an active role in the quest (though her main drive in doing so does seem a bit shallow to me, but as I said in my previous post on the topic, I didn't expect much depth from this game. Plus it's funny). The train system itself is quite fun, though I do feel a bit constrained by the fact that it means you can't explore great big expanses on footand the scenery looks like cardboard cutouts. The thing I've had most issue with so far is that it realies a lot more on precision with the stylus than Phantom Hourglas for some reason (or maybe its just an impression?). My DS is a bit duff in the sense that my touch screen just won't calibrate, which means that it registers my tap with the stylus as being so far off centre, especially nearer the edge of the screen... This is not practical when trying to bullseye a boss a certain number of times before he squishes you! This wasn't so much an issue with Phantom Hourglass if I recall correctly as you had a fairy appear where you'd tapped, giving you a good visual guide as to how far off you were. Oh well...
Also, this game loves to have you blowing into the mike. :P
In other news have nearly completed a painting for someone's birthday! In water soluble oils! Yeay! *approves of these paints*

Is an expensive shop, but I didn't want to order online and it's on my way home from work. Plus I got the canvas there at the same time. *I miss making up my own canvas/stretcher but meh...*
I found that of all 6 colours in the set, phtalo green was the strongest in both smell and saturation. They mix nicely with water, though you definitely shouldn't use them like watercolours (they'll just run). They work really well together and can be layered quite thickly and nicely, and it's awesome that if you accidentally get some on your clothing, it won't ruin it and can come out afterwards. I only wished I had more colours to play with, as it is difficult to mix the exact right colour with so limited a palette, but I think that once I've finished these, I'll probably look into buying a bigger set online.

Jacob got one for his birthday, and it lasted months. You can keep it as a treat for yourself you know. :)
