Meme: DC Manga

Mention a scene from the manga that
1. made you laugh
Eisuke just laughing when Conan went "I say no. And yes, I am [Shinichi Kudo]."
See here & here.
The last thing I expected him to do was laugh. So what did I do. I spent the rest of the day laughing too and going squee, because AWESOME.

2. made you cry
Like SN, it's the sister case, book 22 I believe. Being very close to my own sibling, I'm a sucker for anything that pertains to siblinghood. So a case where a sister kills another without realizing that her sister had gone out of her way to make sure the first sister didn't accidentally kill herself, didn't find out that she'd been preferred by a man over the first sister, despite them having basically shared everything in their lives? ...BAWH. ;.;

3. made you squee
EISUKE ADMITTING HIS LOVE FOR RAN AND WANTING TO TAKE HER AWAY. SQUEE!*
*squeeness*

4. caused you distress
"Spider Mansion".
Similar to the sister case above, this case involved a misunderstanding that went dreadfully wrong. It's something I'm always wary/aware of. Being bilingual myself, I know how easy it is to mix up words from different languages and get the wrong idea. "Faux amis" is an example of this kind of word: a false friend, one that looks identical in both languages but means completely different things, misleads you.
But whereas in the sister case I found it beautifully poignant, in this case it gave me a sinking feeling to the stomach. It's probably the case involving Heiji that I hate the most, because it involved serial murder, drugs, adultery and a culprit I just wanted to whack. Hard. He turned his love into a detestable hatred and took it so far without stopping to think. And I could rant about this case so much without making much sense. Urgh. I. Just. Yeah, distress sounds about right.

5. you didn't foresee
I could refer back to 1, the scene that made me laugh because I did not see it coming, but I'll go with:

THIS
Who could honestly say they saw that coming without being told about it before hand? Huh?
That was the point where the case went from good to legendary!
6. amused you greatly
So many to choose from, so many of the greats already mentioned... dammit.
Ah, yes. The "PMS Ai" case!
As much as I found the reason for her permanent glaring in that case absurd, it did greatly amuse me. XD

7. made you fall in love with a character
Eisuke Hondou.
- At the point where I was starting to think Conan needed someone other than Kogorou to bop him on the head, who appears? Clumsy adorable clogs with relevance to main plot. ♥

Aï Haibara.
- Cool as ice girl turns up and makes my first read of the series make sense! She's shrunk! So's Conan! That's why they're both so smart. Awesome!

8. if you have an OTP, reinforced your love for them
THIS.
Purely eye-candy, though the innuendo before hand didn't exactly not help.
Somehow my fangirling of Eisuke-Ran seems to be directly proportional to Conan's reaction to them. I'm not 100% sure whether this is a good or bad thing but... Yeay, my fan-pairing became cannon! \o/

9. reminded you of yourself
Humm. It's been a while since a case in DC reminded me of myself. Usually it's just small details, like Ai being a ainoko (child of two nationalities), an arty/geeky case or some suspect of the day who's personality strikes me as similar to my own.
Maybe that one time where Agasa and Ai both snicker at Conan's expense. Because I've developed a taste for seeing the Dope out of his depth.

10. you love, for whatever reason
Bonds of Flame
My all time favourite case with Heiji, ever. It is so bitter sweet, and looks like it can end so badly yet hope is given at the very end. I want to write a fic based on this case... Have started, is just... Prioritizing. D:
