I will back up my lj accounts and then try to fuse the several accounts into one or two. I'll try to think positively and use it as a chance to clean up.
By the way they want to make paid accounts more expensive, too. It's not expensive at the moment. But I think they are making it more expensive for stupid reasons.
XD I have a private account and one for Frank which we once used to write mails with pretty photos etc... I just backed it up with a LJ-book and then deleted those accounts.
I'd like to fuse firstsilvera and fs_suitcase, too, now that I've figured out how to use the tags...
I think it's not sensible to spend money on accounts on the internet if you don't earn enough to be sure that you can pay without batting an eyelid.
Aye, I hesitated when renewing for this account, but have gotten so much use out of it, and since it wasn't that much for me at the time, well...
Trouble is, my art-blog I want to be able to use as a professional page on the web, and ads you don't control =/= professional. I'm not yet prepared to pay to get rid of them (far from, need to learn to update it regularly for a start!) but one day I hop I'll be able to use it as such... and be able to afford to!
I actually think a personal website with a blog is better than an artblog on LJ, if you want to appear professional. Until then you can use blogger etc. where you don't have ads. :)
I just hate ads for some neurotic reason I can't explain. XD
Considering my ability with hosting my website somewhere without ads, an adless LJ is what sounds best, I must admit. XDD Also I have enough trouble adjusting to one blogging system at a time so... XD
No need to explain hatred of ads. They are in our face waaaay too much and bring this hatred upon themselves!
Affordability isn't the only issue: I may have html skills, but they are outdated! Using LJ is much simpler than fuddling around with ftps and coding! :D
ff.net has the option of removing all ads for 3 days, if you know where to look! ... DA on the other hand. *grumbles*
