Still writing that *** essay. I think I've hit a breakthrough. Let's hope I can keep it up and finish it within the next 4 hours.

Anyways, have also just read the scanlation of DC file 604. Hush. I know I'm contradictory.
And oh goodness. Gosho is made of Awesome and Win and OMG he didn't just do that, did he? He did. Oh jolly gosh he did.

Once I'm done with this essay and have free time again I'm so doing drabbles based off that file. *_*

I... I saw the raw and went "OMG is this DC? It's DC. OMG." because it's basically a character shooting another then killing himself to protect that other character.

I would argue that we hardly ever see children as the victims, especially with the "culprit" being the father. Whenever a child is in the line of fire it happens way "off screen" or they are saved at the last minute.

Even if Rena/Hidemi is not a child in these scenes, I still find it terribly traumatic for her to have to suffer such wounds from her father's hands and then watch him shoot himself. It shows a great bond between the two I find that she managed to keep her cool after such an event.

This is why I'm surprised Gosho actually drew this. It paints a much darker aspect to the series I find. The BO is no longer the Big Bad Clumsy Wolf of book One, it's now the Mastermind Criminal Organization that can't be beat!
