High Speed Week
Mar. 1st, 2007 10:57 pmPfiiuuut... Sheesh what a busy week. Even when I take time out to try and chill out and get some other things done it just... Slips away so fast!
Anyways, got a painting finished this Monday, am trying to think of what setup to do next... Went to an interesting talk today, rushed off to a seminar, aaaand....
I went to the opening night of the exhibition organized by the life drawing (aka. nudes) class I go to on Wednesday nights.
And I had put some drawings in. Like, erm... 30 of 'em?
They took up a whole wall, (oh goodness gracious, I thought Max would leave some aside, but noo he put em all up! @_@) and it's done my ego no good at all... It's gotten a BIG boost. @_@
Got a lot of compliments on my drawings, amongst which some from an art collector (called Will apparently)... Eeh!
Apparently I should have thought of pricing them... But how much should one price a drawing done between 15 and 30 minutes? That's between A4 and A2 format? (Max priced his between 65£ and 120£... I think that's a lot of money. @.@;; )
Anyways, am thrilled, and glad I went. Loved quite a few of the other drawings up there too! ♥
But now am knackered, so am gonna kill some brain cells on msn for a while then CRASH out for the night. 8cD
Cheers!

Date: 2007-03-02 07:58 am (UTC)I've seen very expensive pictures. But then it doesn't only depend on the time you spent on the picture but on the material, too. Huge watercolour paintings (when they are done on good-quality paper) are pretty expensive, especially when you used lightfast colours (and expensive brands like Winsor&Newton). Pastel paintings seem to be expensive, too (because of the expensive pastels), in contrast to acrylic paintings.
