Now have lots of reading to catch up on, but first, to celebrate (and because am braindead)...

1) Keyboard or biro? Both. Although lately it's mostly keyboard, I do write on paper when I want to be able to do so on the move, or am merely inspired in the middle of doing doodles. CQDEC* was completely written on paper before being posted, same for what's posted of it's sequel, O2J*, although both were written before my laptop days and I was on the move. ^^; ... I think the main reason I tend to prefer Keyboard over pen of late is because it's easier to find the document if you haven't touched it for a while.

2) Beta or no beta? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Have only discovered betaing of late, so most my fics are unbetaed. I do however regularly jump at random people on msn to ask for advice and/or ask them to read over incase of major plot holes or OOC that could be nipped in the bud thanks to them.

3) Title? Sometimes before (LAG) sometimes after (CQDEC was codenamed EdogawaReturn until I found a title.) Some plot ideas come with, some without.

4) Smushy or smutty? I don't think I do much of either, but I probably lean towards smushy over smutty. I think I've only made characters kiss 3 times in all my published fics.

5) Summary? They are challenging things to make. Jolly useful for readers, but if I could get away without? I would. In multiparters I tend to use one sentance premise, one sentance description of latest chappy.

6) Funniest fic? My drabbles in french seem to be fun. (And yes, that includes the Kogoro-Ayumi one.) My first One Shot "Diddle Diddle Dumpling" was categorized as humour too. Although I guess "Lion's Ruby" is humour as well. And since I fail at evaluating jokes, I'll just say it's probably One of this lot.

7) Most popular fic? LAG. I think the SSR in front of the summary has something to do with it. Followed by Darkness(by reviews) or Translation please(by hits) although the latter is cheating since it's a collection of translated one shots. CQDEC seems to be my most read french fic. (But then again, it's my longest.)

8) Most Fun to Write? Lion's Ruby. Until I got writer's block and lost my plot notes. That, and the fics that "write themselves" for example: DDD*, CQDEC*, Darkness, (most my on impulse done one shots)... Oh, and "She likes old wines" was a sadistic pleasure. >c3

9) Best and Worst? Best: CQDEC. 8cD It's utterly full of spelling mistakes, poor style and junk, but it's IC, post-DC and I'm proud of the plot. It has a TWIST, and I pulled it off. Also my first COMPLETED Multichapter, and french fic, so yeah, I'm biased. (Also has illustrations for each chappy!)
If you want to see my best at writing, my one shots are probably better.
Worst: Not counting unpublished ones? Some of my drabbles are poor, but my brain comes up with my "Near-Rape" fic that I did for a fic contest. It seemed okay on the day, but heh. I'm not that proud of it. (Is in french and I'm not translating it.) My brain also comes up with O2J because: LOST PLOT.

10) Coulda Been Contenders? "Memories," my first fic ever. Well, not really, but I feel I could have/may still be able to do more with it then I did.

11) Strengths? I can write fairly decently in TWO languages. >cD Aheum. And translate rather fast from one to the other... But I think that's not what you were asking, right? Right. Humm... "Suspense" in the broad sense and IC characters... With a dash of poetic apparently.

12) Weaknesses? TYPOS, frenglish, SLOW and lazy. Am better at writing about characters I'm interested in, such as Ai Haibara, the BO. Am lousy at kissing scenes (thinking of SR* here.) Oh. And easily distracted. Did I say SLOW? SLOW. Also too many WIP.

13) Dirty little secrets? I have a tremendously badly written lemon on my HD, which I'm never showing anyone ever. The reason I say this here? Because I'm sadistic enough to torture you with it. You want to see? You want to prove me wrong? Well a) you can't and b) it's in french. I also have a Yaoi plunny waiting to be continued.

XD I think most people prefer writing about characters they're interested in, and that's when they can do their best work. I find that if I don't "bond" with a character or two in a series, I probably won't even get fanfic ideas at all. Or if I do, I won't be able to skillfully pull them off!

Kogoro and Ayumi? That must be amusing. I didn't think they ever interacted that much.

My dirty little secret.... I can't stop wondering how someone would actually write Gin/Vodka shounen-ai (not yaoi, just shounen-ai), especially since you said you actually saw such a fic. XD I would never write such a thing myself, and I would probably get creeped out if I read such a fic, but I can't stop wondering how someone would try to make it half-way believable. I just can't see it being able to be done while keeping them IC.

If it's just shonen-ai, it's possible in my opinion... The special relationship between Gin and Vodka could be a good base for this pairing...
But well, I think a one-sided shonenai is possible but a true romance between those two....(Shudders)
I could see Vodka feeling attraction toward Gin, but for Gin...No, I don't think he could be infatued with Vodka...XD

Well, it's not the same thing, I could see Gin beeing attracted/fascinated by Akai and a strange and ambigus relationship between those two...Xd
In fact, I could only seen Gin beeing fascinated by someone(Akai, Sherry...or Eiri...@_@), It's more difficult for me to imagine him trully in love...Just my opinion anyway...^^

I could understand you don't like to see Shoujoai and/or shonenai with the MIB, but maybe some people would love?
Personnaly, I don't trully care, I don't think I will post someday my shoujoai fic with the WIB on the comm(I've already made a Ran/Sherry which take place before the manga, and I think sooner or later I will try the Vermouth/Sherry or the Vermouth/Jodie challenge....XD), those fic are/would be in french anyway... But a comm must be open...
True, blackorghq is a comm about the MIB, not a comm about yaoi/yuri pairing but if we post romance about Gin,(And I hope we will also seen romance with Vermouth, Vodka or everybody else in the org in the future)why forbid or discouraged some pairing because it's shonen/shoujo ai?
If it was for pairing not related to MIB(Shinichi/Ran or Heiji/Kazuha for example), I could understood but...
I think than if the author try to keep the character IC and to wrote trully interessing fic instaed of just stupid and boring smut, the result could be worth to be read...
It's not trully a complain, just a suggestion...

Basically, in most of the other fandoms Aubrie and I are in, the shounen-ai/yaoi and shoujo-ai/yuri fans dominate everyone else. XD It's true that it doesn't seem to be that way in the DC fandom, but judging by our past experiences, we did shamelessly create a more gen/het MIB comm. I'm confident that all of the comm members are mature, though, and that if they did write some shounen-ai or shoujo-ai thing, they would try to keep it as IC as possible.

Well, dc yaoi fan are not interessed by the MIB, they tend to remain in the Hakuba/Kaito,Kaito/Shinichi,Shinichi/Heiji stuff...
The yuri fan wrote mostly about Aoko/Akako...
So far, I've only seen three fic about my OTP(Shiho/Ran), the one wrote by Dag(*_*), the one June made for my birthday(@_@) and one little drabble made just to broke Conan's brain...Sigh...-_-
But well, It's the reason I wrote two fics about those two...Ran deserve better than Shinichi and Ai deserve better than Conan...Xp
Just kidding...But well, Shiho/Ran is the best pairing in DC anyway...X) XD

XD I just don't see that pairing happening, not because it's shoujo-ai, but because I don't think Ai thinks of Ran in that way. It seems more like she sees Ran as being like Akemi, and therefore, would think of her as a sister. Unless I'm about to hear the rather alarming thought of Akemi/Shiho.... XD;

Worse thing was, it was actually part of a funny doujin with Kid stalking Conan. (The Conan-Ayumi part was FREAKY though. >_>;; )

Humm, is true. It's hard to write about characters you don't have a feel for, or even characters you love, but in a situation you can't picture... (I'd probably be bad at writing Sarcastic!Ai, but then again, who knows?)

Bon sinon, étudions un peu les réponses au questionnaire...

Hum...Oui et non, c'est vrai qu'au niveau de la forme tu te débrouille mieux avec les one-shot(J'ai été absolument ébloui par Flocon rouge, L'héroïne de roman, Fallen angels et la confession de Vermouth...) qu’avec les fics en plusieurs chapitre...
C'est pas que tes fics en plusieurs chapitres sont mauvaises (De tt façons, je les aies pas toutes lues, et j'ai toujours pas fini CQDCE...^^;) mais le style y est beaucoup plus...classique(Bien qu'il y ait quelque petits éclairs de génie dans ce ciel serein, par exemple au niveau des dialogues...)
Mais il y a Nuit d'étoiles...Et là, je ne sais pas mais je serais tenté de dire que c'est ta meilleure fic...
C'était vraiment une idée de génie d'utiliser les romans de Yusaku comme tu le fait, et au vu des extraits que tu as rédigé, ça ne me déplairait pas de voir une fic entièrement consacré au baron de la nuit tellement ils sont digne d'être écrit de la main du père de Shinichi...@_@
(Peut-être qu'un jour je craquerais et tenterais d'écrire une fic qui serait un roman de Yusaku...Après tout tu en as bien fait une sur Spade et Hearth...Et comme à cause de toi, je suis devenu fan du Night baron...^_^)
Et même si le style n'y est pas aussi marquant que dans tes one-shot, il est fluide et a ses moments fort(Les extraits de roman mais ce ne sont pas les seuls).
Bon et tu t'y amuse merveilleusement bien avec les relations ambiguës Conan/Ai et Kaito/Koizumi...Xd
Arf, la seule chose qui m'empêche de dire que c'est ta meilleure fic c'est que je suit trop captivé par certain de tes one-shot(J'ai dit lesquels plus haut).^^
En tout cas, je suis rentré dedans tout de suite alors que j'ai beaucoup plus de mal avec CQDCE...

Hummm... C'est vrai qu'avec Nuit d'Etoiles j'experimente pas mal aussi. C'est l'une des rares fics où je me FORCE à écrire de trés longs chapitres (du moins à mes criteres) mais aussi où je joue un peu avec l'irréel, le paranormal... (Conan telepathe. L'autre fic où je touche à l'irréel est probablement Shuffle Romance, mais vu que c'est une AU où la magie existe, c'est moins innovant.) La principale raison pour laquelle je ne pense pas immédiatement à la recommender c'est car elle n'est pas encore finie, et une bonne fic avec une mauvaise fin, ça laisse toujours un gout amer à mon experience. :c/
Bien sur, je compte bien lui faire une bonne fin, mais on sait jamais.

Humm, il est vrai que comme CQDEC c'est ma premiere fic en français, elle doit présenter pas mal de lourdeurs/erreurs que mes fics plus récentes n'ont pas. Je les corrigerais probablement si jamais je traduis cette fic mais corriger la version française? Je dois avouer une flemmardise et une rétissance.
N'empêche, je me dois de poser la question:
Sais tu en particulier ce qui t'empêche de rentrer dans l'histoire avec CQDEC? Une Dagron curieuse aimerait savoir... ^^;
Aussi, il est vrai que CQDEC est probablement l'un de mes plus "classique" dans l'histoire.

Well, I've done Spade and Heart kissing as kids (which was too jolly awkward,) (Shinichi and Ran in a drabble once too, but that was to gross out the kid,) Ran and Shiho (which was most recent and less awkward, I admit, but I was iffy about it) and Kaito and Aoko (wait, that one I wasn't too nervous about?!) I think... O_o;
I don't know, I'm just under the impression I can't write kisses, but maybe that's just me.

Don't lynch me, but I don't think I'm too fussed about pairings in fics. I'm more interested in the individuals then whether they end up "together." Admittedly, I like happy endings too, but they don't always have to be X and Z lived together happily ever after. (Even if it helps. *shot*)

J'imagine que mon côté anti Shinichi/Ran a du me bloquer un peu pour certains passages, mais bon d'une part ce n'est pas un problème inherent à la fic mais à mes goûts personnels et d'autre part Shiho y jouait un rôle suffisament important pour que j'accroche à l'histoire...
Hum...
En fait, je pense que le principal problème pour moi, c'est que tu as essayé de faire une enquête policière post-org, j'ai rien contre le principe en lui même, ca peut donner des resultats intéressants, mais le problème c'est qu'il faut aussi créer des bad guy capable de rivaliser avec nos MIB préférés(En tout cas c'était nécessaire dans ta fic puisque c'était plutôt du thrill schock suspense qu'une enquête à proprement parler, enfin ce n'est que mon avis, hein?^^; )
Or les "méchants" de ta fic me paraissaient infiniment moins fascinants que Gin et Vermouth, enfin après je n'ai pas lu la fic jusqu'au bout(pour l'instant) donc je ne peut pas vraiment juger...En tout cas, aussi loin que j'avais lu, ils ne m'avaient pas autant accroché que les bad guy de l'oeuvre originale et comme j'ai tendnace à aimer les méchants autant, sinon plus parfois, que les gentils...^^;
Voilà, je ne sait pas si ca peut t'aider mais aussi loin que je m'en rappelle c'était ça qui m'avait posé problème...
Alors que le Night baron m'a tout de suite entrainé dans Nuit d'étoiles...X)

Like I've said to insaneladybug once, pairing is beside all, a tool to explore charachter personnalities, show how the one affect the other and vice-versa, and create dark/fluffy/angsty/sweet scene...
And it's also a wonderful plot's device...
In fact, what I love the most in a pairing is to made evolve slowly the feeling the character feels for each other and I tend to love the ambigous relationship in general, in a love or a friendship way(Kakuba and Kaito for example...)...
That's why I tend to dislike some pairing like Shinichi/Ran, with the childhood lover thing, there isn't a relation which can evolve and with the "They are soulmates who could bring perfect happyness to each other until the end of their joyful married life once they could declare their feeling to each other" stuff, the pairing is boring...
A good romance is, in my opinion, a romance where the main difficulties are inside the couple and not only outside...And a difficult/impossible romance is more human and touching than librairy of perfect couple...
Just my opinion in the matter...^^

I admit it was mostly written because a chum on msn was "surprised" I hadn't yet. ^___^ ...Because another French Writing DC fan friend of mine -had-.

Admittedly, he doesn't read lemons, (too young,) so he didn't get to see it either. Haha!
