Artwork & Boiler

Return of the Real Life update. Mostly because I don't have much to say fandom wise: DC is plodding along at the moment, and though the "Kid month" is looking exciting, it's not happened yet. So yeah...

We had a new gas boiler fitted in the flat this spring. We were told it would only take two days, tops, to install. It took 4, nearly 5. The guy left the kitchen wall in a state: he tried to fill around the hole he'd drilled for the pipe to go through with some sort of poly filler which just sagged in an ugly manner. We only got a proper plasterer in after much harassing. And now four months later we learn that they probably didn't even install the boiler properly: old heating tank is possibly still connected and the boiler can't get any pressure going: it just shoots all the water out into the garden. This is apparently "unsafe to use", and also a waste of water. So boiler is off and boss guy of the company will be coming around tomorrow to see what's what. *rolls eyes* Scottish plumbers. *headesks* Hopeful it won't be so much a circus as last time.

You'll know more once he's published it, because we're going to be advertising it everywhere. :) Meanwhile all I can say is it's a Fantasy novel with a well developed setting and a strong, varied cast.
