:c)
Ryanair is stupid~! Landed us in Brussels and planned to leave us stranded after a four hour journey to Beauvais!
Stupiiid :cp
Yeah, so my french was pretty useful on the first day ^^; That ended up being a day lost in Transit (we arrived a good 12 hours after our scheduled arrival at the hotel!)
Pretty good trip... Gotsome manga, to see quite a bit of some museums I had been too lazy to see before ^_^
I loved the Corot room in the Sully wing of the Louvre... And the Georges Pompidou Centre was interesting^^
...Speaking of the louvre, if the girl in the upcoming "Da Vinci Code" movie wears a Long Red Coat... then I glimpsed a bit of the filming -^^-
Also went to Brancusi's atelier (very calm place to be in, and cool), and the Picasso museum (quite alot to see there, nice garden/cafe area out back).
Accesorily arrived too late at the doors of a)the Rodin museum (but had been there before) & b)the Quai d'Orsay museum too (I went there during the christmas holidays, but it looked like they had an interesting temporary exposition on >.> sugar)
The Catacombs were also closed, but I managed to have a good time dragging wee sis along to the "Père Lachaise Cemetary".
Surprisingly enough, we were lucky to only get bad weather for the duration of two mornings:
-Fog on the saturday (that stopped us from landing at Beauvais)
-Rain on the, was it Tuesday morning? Some got pretty drenched then ^^;;
Otherwise some wonderful warm sunshine! ^_______^ (some got sunburn, would you believe it?)
I also recommend the Chartier restaurant, :cd miammy. (It's not far from Montmartre. Should be able to find in any 'Cheap Paris' guide.)
A good trip on the whole ^____^
... Now... Essays... Hummm.....
