If anyone can explain to me what the gray-blurb/character is actually doing, I'd be glad to hear?

On another note, was terribly disorganized for Life Painting...
We were supposed to paint a male nude on canvas over 2 days...
And of course, the first day, my canvas was too small... :c? Oops.
Ended up putting canvas on a previously used stretcher at the last minute last night. (Tutor had to restretch it this morning. T_T )
Ended up only having one day for the painting... But did do extra oil studies compared to others I guess...

But it seems it didn't turn out so bad...
Tutor came around at the end of the day, and said "You pulled it out of the Hat."
Knowing that he is very critical... Can't help but be glad. ^__^
But considering that had I been prepared I might have done an even better job... Gah.

Oh well, will have another more descent shot at it in two weeks.
Next time I'll be prepared >cD
