Went to see Wicked on Thursday - was very awesome and one of my pals has seriously got their geek on over it since. XD

As a result today we went to queued for Aberdeen's first ever ComicCon in costume. She cosplayed as Elphaba. XD (And pretty much melted at every child that looked at her in awe.) I got to wear the mouse costume inspired by Alice in Wonderland that I'd worn to her hen night. Curry was a recognizable Dr. Gordon Freeman (got a fanboy checking out his badge an' all.)

And then when it was clear we weren't getting in any time soon (like at least another 2 hours and we'd gotten soaked through by the rain already) we went to get some godly-warm lunch and to watch Mad Max: Fury Road which wasn't anywhere as bad as I thought it would be. (Very pretty too. Those clouds! The sands! Gorgeous.)

Excellent fun day, even though I suspect I'm coming down with the cold. Long live WeekEnds! :)

PS: How's everyone else doing?

Any photos of the Elphaba cosplay? :o I have a number of friends who'd probably really love to see a good one.

Went with a group of friends to see Mad Max yesterday. We ended up seeing it in 3D. I'm not sure if the ringing in my head was from that, or the cranked-up volume, or the 2-hour car chase, or all of the above.

But it was a great movie, in a lot of ways.

I had a sore head/eye when leaving the Cinema but I put that down to being still damp with a sore throat combined with the thumping beats throughout. Volume was pretty loud. (We saw it in 2D.)

I get headaches from the cranked up volume in cinemas as well, which is another reason why I haven't been watching anything these days.

It'll be the weather. It's been ridiculously changeable of late.
(And considering I'm croaky as a frog today, I'm pretty certain I've got the cold. On plus side I'm feeling better than last night!)
