*Grumbles...*
Feb. 12th, 2009 02:42 pmThe bad thing about having irregular Internet access is I'm beginning to forget what icons I have to use on LJ. >__>;;;
Right, so now I've got money and thus my internet connection is back but...
One Step forwards, Two Steps back.
I'm now looking for a flat.
...as well as a job.
Takes me back to July 08. *headesks* Only difference is there is now up-to-a-week old snow outside, and I don't have the option of more than a month to look around for habitation. Oh well.
On a brighter note, have started taking Life Drawing classes on Tuesday Evenings.
It had been more than a year(maybe 2) since I'd been to a directed life drawing class, and probably just as long since I'd enjoyed drawing something from observation without having to worry about what it was for, or what it meant, and I've been missing the constructive criticism these classes give. It's not like I've lost all from my years at Art School yet, but I was definitely beginning to feel rusty and let myself go, so going there this Tuesday, doing a drawing in that controlled environment and then stepping back to see it properly, I feel I can take control again of what I want to do with my skill. Still don't know what exactly I want to do with it, but there's a thread there.
I got to see again myself doing mistakes I'd done in the past (not contrasted enough, darks too light, lights too dark, so on, so forth) and I could still see my style there (I could could recognize it as my drawing.) It's interesting, and is getting me thinking about working big again. As a result I'm looking forward to continuing the course.
And finally snow.

I wish my camera wasn't broken, but eh, Googled Macro shall do!

Date: 2009-02-12 10:59 pm (UTC)XD Good thing about Trampolines is they tend to help you bounce right back up. Follow the safety rules and you'll be fine!

Date: 2009-02-12 11:01 pm (UTC)I spend more time reading than downloading. Time based internet access would SCREW me over hard. 8D...
Though I'm screwed anyway by being an artist with a thirst for Fanart. Dang.Email? 8D

Date: 2009-02-23 08:06 pm (UTC)Good luck with the job and the flat. I'm pretty stressed as well, which is why I often don't comment. (That will change in March, though.)
Life drawing class sounds really fun. :D
My camera is broken, too, by the way. :)

I totally love writing Rei, and Minako has some fascinating circumstances to play with.Any fic recs? ;)

Date: 2009-03-03 03:04 am (UTC)onlyreason I watched PGSM, and yes, they totally had something going on. XDD:D :D Yes, EXACTLY! Minako's "Mar Reiko-san" line is one that I can always remember perfectly. XDD
Rei is awesome, and Minako's idol status would be fun to write.Mm, not really. There isn't anything really outstanding fic for this piairing. (>_<) I might try to do a rec post soon though. ;D

Date: 2009-03-03 12:46 pm (UTC)I think I started watching PGSM just because "OMG Sailormoon has a live action?!" That and I saw a really cool AMV. Then I stayed for the plot, the cheesiness and the awesome cast. XD
You ever done any fic/art/misc. for the fandom? :)

Date: 2009-03-03 02:05 pm (UTC)Haha, yeah, that was my first thought too. Though I went in and stayed for the Rei/Minako. <-- Fixated. XP But yes, cheesy indeed. At least I had tons of experience with Power Rangers in dealing with the cheesiness LOL. XDD
Mmm, no. I've only ever written for MSLN, and somehow I can't write/draw anything now. D:
