on notes...
May. 30th, 2008 03:34 pmI just realized that most of the banknotes I handle these days have "Bank of England" written on them. Somehow* this irritates me a bit. I do recall reading in the headlines about this change, and had secretly hoped someone would stand up for the diversity of scottish notes.
It is strange being surprised by the bright colour of a note given in change that happens to be from one of scotland's three banks(?) when Britain refused to see it's pound replaced by the euro.
Then again, maybe l'm imagining things and just keep using the wrong ATM?
*Point where my Laptop managed to open its browser: am posting this with the Nintendo DS browser through which l also managed to glance at mail first when I started up both systems at the same time. Yeay, speed! \o/
