SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT.Also my opinions on the case so far.
I think I had too much fun with the titles of these. Try hovering over them?
Personal impressions on the case:

~Random stabby guy? I can't look at him without thinking that Gosho is using him to vent on his hero. Seriously. Two whole pages? Nice~!
~The way Heiji talks, its like he's expecting Kudo to turn up by magic! Oddly enough, his words become the truth, haha. |D Yeay for foreshadowing? (As big as a house?)
~The premise of the case is really fascinating. A case Shinichi got wrong? Awesome!
~Ah. So Heiji did not read the letter for Shinichi? Nice of him. 8D (Would have thought he would have died of curiosity!)
~Ahaha! Kudo Shinichi must have been quite the BIG RANT in the village. 8D Also nice to see somewhere where his name doesn't inspire awe. X3
~Mister "Only One Truth" branded a Liar. Me likes. X3 Mwahaha.
~The mountain cottage scene: ... I think I watched a couple of soap episodes that this reminds me of. Emmerdale or something. Chap gets knocked out cold by Mom while trying to strangle wife. The two women team up to throw him from the top of a cliff into the sea, thinking he was dead. He survives, and returns with amnesia. Turns out he's much sweeter with amnesia too.
So yeah... SOAAAAP. Or out of a fic. Whatever. 8D
~Come on, say it with me. WE LOVE THE SECOND LIVE ACTION DRAMA. \o/ Random transforming Conan for the WIN. (...except... well random? 8D)
~Aoyama, your Haibara is seriously moody of late. And I mean seriously. O_o
~I wonder what caused Ai to decide she needed to retest the proto-antidote on Conan anyway. I recall her saying "no. not safe." in book 26... But well, that does explain why she doesn't want Conan to happily grab at it if he happened to come across it by accident/before she was ready.
~Also. I want to count the number of times Conan has been diving head first from somewhere high. And I want to make a collage of all them scenes. It's raining three-pint detectives~! *sings*
~Shun Oguri? We owe Naked Shinichi in a Blanket ALL TO YOU~! *___*"

~Heiji is so happy to see him he assumes Shinichi is joking. We wuv you Heiji.
~DRENCHED naked Shinichi in a blanket, HEEEEEEEEEEE bis!
~*cough* am a bit disappointed by the two-page spread though. Looks like a photo, that background. *pokes it*
~Token mention of Shinichi's cold by Kogoro and Kazuha. Really feels like a token mention.
~Heiji so deserves a favour from Kudo when this is all over for his leet skills at fast talking.
~Still, just how oddly convenient it is their cell phones don't work. >_>
~The mistake being about the form of cancer the victim had is a bit... meh. I'm hoping Shinichi of a year ago had put more thought into it than that.
~THAT REPORTER WOMAN HAS SUCH A FREAKY FACE. D: D: D: *is scared and hides*
~MWAHAHA. I don't know why, but seeing mister Know-It-All go "I don't know!" is just... X3!
~Ran is all concerned and distant. I like. Whereas Kazuha is all clingy. X3 Shows a difference between their otherwise too similar characters that I appreciate.
~Ran has a 6th sense radar. Truly.
~I'm hoping forest dude is a dudette. Because that would be awesome! But I'm expecting it to be a dude. Maybe it's Makoto with a wig? I don't think the forest dude is the one who locked Conan in, but we shall see...
General:
~The most I'm expecting general plot-wise is Haibara making some progress on the antidote that won't really be progress. :c( Oh, and Ran doubts, the return!
~The whole case doesn't feel like "Conan" to me, but more like "Kindaichi". I'm guessing this isn't a coincidence. What was that crossover Kindaichi-Conan thing anyway?
~Still finding the idea that Shinichi got it wrong fascinating. Just wish the whole set up felt less contrived. How many coincidences can you accumulate?
~Hopefully next file will be FUN~ despite my reservations! ^__^
And while I'm waffling about spoilers...
I'm concerned about Haibara and Conan's current friendship. They don't seem to be getting on so well ever since the Okiya case. At all. Haibara seems to have developed pseudo-PMS as a result of Conan using her/not telling her things and she seems perfectly inclined to returning the favour ("open the door!" "proto-apotoxin sneak test >D!" ...)
Because of this, my inner Co-Ai fan is hoping that Okiya is really Akai. Because it would probably be easier for Ai to forgive him if she finds out that bad-vibe dude was not some ace snoop from the org' on the look out for her, but the FBI agent -you know, the one Conan fanboys- who dated her sister and only has bad vibes cause he was a mole back in the day.
Not that she wouldn't still give Conan the hell-of-a-silent treatment for it, but I can hope.
